S&P 500 and Dow Jones indices reach records

Bidding on Wednesday ended with the major US index’s growth. Dow Jones and S&P 500 hit new highs. They increased by 0.14% and 0.25% to 36488.63 and 4793.06 points, respectively. Investor sentiment improved after the health officials’ statements. They believe the omicron is not as menacing as previously thought. In this regard, the tightening restrictive measures are unlikely. Experts believe as the new coronavirus strain spread will have a slight influence on the international economy. Trading activity decreased due to the holidays. Investors are evaluating the statistics published the day before in the United States. The country’s foreign trade deficit reached a record high in November. It amounted to 97.8 billion dollars, which is 17.5% more than the October value of the indicator. US exports fell 2%. At the same time, imports showed an increase of 4.7%. The index evaluating transactions for the sale of the secondary residential real estate fell 2.2% last month. Analysts predicted its growth by 0.5%
