GDP of OECD countries grew by 1.2% in Q4

The acceleration of economic growth in the countries of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development in the last three months of last year is stated in a recent review of the organization. Aggregate GDP rose to 1.2% from 1.1% 3 months earlier. The G7 countries expanded their economies by 1.2% over the specified period – faster than the rise of 0.9% three months earlier. US GDP grew by 1.7%, which significantly exceeded the growth of 0.3% in the 3rd quarter. Canada’s economic growth increased from 1.3% to 1.6%. In Japan, economic growth was recorded at 1.3%, while in July-September it was 0.7%. However, the European Union in the last three months of 2021 showed a slowdown in economic growth from 2.2% to 0.4%. France’s GDP grew by 0.7% over the quarter, while in the third quarter its growth was recorded at 3.1%. Germany recorded a decline of 0.7%. In Q3, the country experienced a 1.7% GDP growth. It is reported that the UK economy stabilized in October-December.
