Japan will develop a quantum computer with no cooling by 2030

A team of Japanese developers in the field of providing computer technologies plan to invent the quantum computer over the next 8 years works at room temperature and do not require additional cooling. Nikkei reports that this can be accomplished thanks to a unique compressed light source developed by the group, competent in transmitting data in optical quantum computing. This innovation considerably reduces the cost of such a device, while increasing its fulfillment. The procedure, which is based on the principles of quantum mechanics for data transmission and processing, is successfully used, for example, in the manufacture of materials, as well as in pharmacology. The Japanese authorities proclaimed their aim to invest about 200 billion yen in the new project. Experts predict that the quantum computer market could reach $850 billion by 2040.
